Hybrid
opened in Honiton, Devon in July 2006. At the centre of the busy market town
we have restored a Georgian town house and transformed it into a relaxing
and welcoming space to show the work of contemporary
British artists and crafts people.
The old drawing rooms offer the ideal environment for work to be seen on a
domestic scale whilst the lofty height of the new gallery extension allows
for showing larger canvases. We organise a year round exhibition
programme including an annual solo show of new work by artist Richard
Adams , recent exhibitors also include; Michael
Bennett,Nick Bodimeade, Angie Lewin and Louis
Turpin.
The outside space has been designed and landscaped into a secret oasis behind
the High Street to showcase the work of Hybrid
Garden Design and provide an appropriate setting for the display of sculpture
and garden features.
As our name suggests Hybrid is a mixture of art disciplines and includes Graphic
design. We design for brochures and logos, seeing a job through from concept
to delivery of printed material and for web-sites. In March 2009 we launched Hybrid Bespoke Stationery offering a highly individual service for wedding
stationery and personal stationery favouring letterpress printing.
