Lo Cole
Lo studied at St Martins School of Art, gained an BA hons from Maidstone in Fine Art (Printmaking) and an Advanced Diploma in screen printing from Central School of Art. He has worked as a freelance illustrator for over two decades and regularly contributes to The Guardian.
Aswell as working to commission Lo has always created images as a printmaker. Working in a variety of media over the years, his work has always had his signature style of crisp, refined shapes, clever overlaying and witty humour involving plays on words. He currently uses a very sophisticated inkjet printer to replicate the silk screen process. Digitally created images from Lo's hand are printed in coloured layers as a silk screen print is, allowing for the mix on paper of colour and creating additional forms. Using the highest quality natural inks and cotton papers all his editions are limited to between 75 and 100 prints.
